How a production runs

Typical short: 8–12 weeks

    Development

    Story, treatment, budget and a clear schedule.

  2. Wk 3–5

    Pre-production

    Casting, scouting, shot lists and storyboards.

  3. Wk 6

    Principal photography

    The shoot. Daily rushes shared with you every evening.

  4. Wk 7–10

    Post-production

    Edit, colour, sound design, music and VFX.

  5. Wk 11–12

    Delivery

    DCP, streaming masters, subtitles and social cuts.
